As you know, the world is changing and it is getting increasingly dangerous to be a Christian. Just like the 1st Century Church, Christians are being persecuted around the world in numbers we haven't seen in a long time.
Here in the United States, we are also seeing a real change toward Christians. Carl Chinn has reported 689 Deadly Force Deaths on Faith-Based Properties since 1999. Over half of them committed in the last 5 years!
And we haven't even talked about Assaults, Sexual Abuse, Burglaries, Abducted kids and attacks that were not with guns. Unless there was a shooting, it doesn't make national news and you won't hear about it. Churches are No Longer Off-Limits and as a result, the Church is now Fair-Game to Criminals.
To make things worse, the vast majority of American Churches are Soft Targets. It's not only the buildings that are soft targets but it's also the Lack of Preparation and Training of church staffs and volunteers. Less than 25% of all American Churches have any sort of Security Ministry.
Texas just passed legislation (Sept '17) saying that ‘Church Safety’ teams no longer need to be level IV personal protection officer and that anyone with a LTC (license to carry) and a gun can 'act' as a safety person in your church...
We believe there needs to be at least a minimum level of training for these individuals who are watching over and guarding the flock. Your liability insurance company is going to require a minimum level of training also. God says, "If you will, I will." Meaning He will help protect us, IF we do our part. We can't just sit back and 'hope' it won't happen here...it IS happening here.

Ready when Needed: Trained to Respond
Proverbs 27:12 stresses the wisdom of foreseeing the likelihood of trouble and preparing for it. The writer of 1 Chronicles commended members of the tribe of Issachar for knowing what to do in their time. Our times are perilous times for churches, and it is wise to be prepared for these times.
Nomads for Christ is offering a credentialed two day class that will train your sheepdogs (safety people) how to recognize a possible problem before it occurs and handle it in a discrete, quiet manor before it becomes an issue. This class has a moderate amount of defensive handgun training on the first day to ensure your sheepdogs have the skills needed to defend the flock if required. The second day works on how to spot, approach and deal with possible issues arising at your church legally & safely BEFORE they become an issue. The final class will take place in your church before & during a typical service. On-site consultations & training available.
The Sheepdog class is total of 12 hours over two days. One day at the range and one day at your campus. A portion of these proceeds will directly benefit Nomads for Christ's main charity: Chandler 1st Assembly annual Health Fair that you can read about here.
